MEETINGS

Our monthly Chapter Meetings are the second Thursday of every month.  We meet in the back room of the Denny's Restaurant located at FM 1960 near Highway 290.  The meetings start at 7:30 P.M., but we start showing up around 7:00 P.M.

Our next staff meeting is Thursday (7/24) at 7:00 P.M.

Our next chapter meeting is Thursday (8/14) at 7:30 P.M.

Unless otherwise noted; all rides leave from the Shell Station on the southwest corner of Hwy 290 feeder road and Hwy 6 North.  Please check our Events Calendar for ride details and other chapter events.

Our next scheduled ride is Saturday July 26th to Carol's at Cat Spring for dinner.  This is a 5:00 PM, trying to keep cool, evening ride.

Honda Goldwing and Valkyrie history

The Honda Goldwing GL1000 was introduced at the Cologne motorcycle show in 1974 and made available to the public in 1975.  The GL1100 followed 4 years later in 1979.  In 1984 the GL1200 arrived.  The GL1500, the longest running model could be purchased in 1988.  The GL1800 became available in 2001. 

The original Honda Valkyrie was manufactured between 1997 and 2003.  The Valkyrie Standard and Tourer  were introduced at the beginning with the Interstate following in 1999.  The Tourer was dropped in 2000 and the interstate in 2001, leaving only the Standard until 2003.  The Valkyrie Rune took over with a limited edition appearing in 2004.
